Karl Marx
Firstly Karl Marx was a German revolutionary who studied the French revolution closely. He the wrote the Communist manifesto based on established society’s in 1848 such as Britain and Germany, meaning that the ideal proposed in the manifesto did t=bot fit the framework of Russian society in the 20th century. Secondly, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels ‘the communist manifesto’ gave revolutionary leaders such as Lenin and Trotsky a blue print to incite revolution. Furthermore the fact the readings of Marx showed that Russia was in the final stage of the dialectical class struggle evidence of a revolutionary situation. Thirdly, Karl Marx inspired the working class of Russia claiming they had nothing to lose but their ‘chains’.

Marx was a German revolutionary who proposed the idea that human society operated according to scientific principles. Marx claimed that the critical detriment of human behaviour was class struggle. Marx findings can be traced to studying the French revolution in Paris where he was working as a journalist. In 1844 he befriended Frededrich Engels in which their work was often written together. Together they wrote the communist manifesto (1848) in which they both criticised the capitalist system and the had claimed they had solved the riddle of mans existence’ He invented the idea of Marxism in which is the devotion and practice of the communist ideology in which would later be taken up by the likes of Vladimir Lenin and Leon Trotsky in bringing forth a revolution.
